Artist Paul Cézanne (French, Aix-en-Provence, 1839 – 1906) painted this lovely still life with primroses and apples, circa 1890. The oil-on-canvas work measures 28 3/4 x 36 3/8 inches (73 x 92.4 cm). At one time, this painting was owned by Claude Monet. Today, it is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fifth Avenue, New York City, and on view in Gallery 825. Accession Number:51.112.1
