Paul Ranson (French, 1864 – 1909) painted this colorful autumn landscape, called Apple Tree with Red Fruit, circa 1902. It is an oil-on-canvas work measuring 33 1/2 × 46 3/4 inches (85.1 × 118.7 cm) and held by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. It is currently on view in the Audrey Jones Beck Building, 225 Beck Galleries, Accession Number 98.248.
