William Trost Richards (American, 1833 – 1905) painted this lovely view of the Atlantic Coast in 1898. He used watercolor and pencil on paper to create this work, which measures 23 7/8 by 47 5/8 inches (60.6 by 121 cm) unframed. It was sold by Sotheby’s, New York, on 8 April 2011 for 13,750 USD.
