
Sebastian Wegmayr (Italian, 1776 – 1857) painted this lovely “still life of flowers in a glass vase with grapes, resting on a stone ledge in a landscape.” This oil-on-canvas work measures 20 1/2 by 16 3/4 inches (52.1 by 42.5 cm), and it goes to auction at Sotheby’s, New York City, 8 June 2017, estimated at 8,000 to 12,000 USD.
