
Charles François Daubigny (French, 1817 – 1878) painted this peaceful scene in which two women work at washing laundry on the border of the Oise river in 1874. This oil-on-panel painting measures 15 1/8 x 26 3/4 inches (38.42 x 67.95 cm), and it will be on view at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, until 29 January 2017 as part of its Daubigny, Monet, Van Gogh exposition.
