Martin Johnson Heade (American, 1819 – 1904) completed this delightful painting in 1875. This oil-on-canvas work measures 12 3/16 x 14 1/8 inches (31 x 35.9 cm), and it is on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fifth Avenue, New York City, in Gallery 759.
